“Marriage Boot Camp Reality Stars” is plowing ahead for episode two of season 7, despite the absence of former hosts Jim and Elizabeth Carroll. Dr. V and Dr. Ish are holding down the fort along with the charismatic Judge Lynn Toler, but each week that passes without the Carrolls on the show, we get plenty of comments from disgusted and fed up fans. Just take a look for yourself!
In tonight’s new episode, “Two of a Crime” the roleplaying exercise makes the couples face the nasty things they say to each other in a unique way. After only a couple of days at the boot camp house plenty of quotes are available for the counselors to use.
The couples are asked to split up and go into different parts of the house. In one are the partners placed within a staged scene of a deadly auto crash; sometimes it’s a scene at the ER. In the other are their partners who have to face the scene and be reminded of the last thing they said that was unkind, to put it mildly. Perhaps it’s the usual nagging, or even better, for purposes of the show, some out-and-out hostility.
The grieving partner ( although there are a few who can’t muster enough to grieve) is asked to open up and reach the depths of their fears and emotions about losing their spouse. It’s a place that’s difficult to find in public or on camera and we have seen reality TV stars refuse or be unable to muster the courage. Most recently, Tara Reid just refused to play along at all, while JWoww, a woman of many words couldn’t find any to say to Roger.
In “Two of a Crime” it’s Amy Duggar’s new hubby Dillon King who fails at the attempt to say a final goodbye to his spouse. He’s not much of an actor, which we know, but neither is Amy. Here’s the problem with this, however, it’s integral to success in the boot camp. Taking it seriously is required to actively work on what’s troubling in the relationship. Amy, cousin of the famed “19 Kids and Counting” Duggar family, and husband Dillon shocked the others when they entered marriage boot camp after only being married for 7 months. Upon arrival, their lack of respect for each other is apparent. Have fun!
